Byrna Kinetic 12 Gauge Rounds provide a powerful less-lethal option without chemical payload or gunpowder. They are designed for accuracy and impact while producing a discharge that is significantly quieter than a standard shotgun round. These rounds can be manually cycled and fired through most pump-action and semi-automatic shotguns.

12 Gauge Round FAQ's
WHAT TYPES OF SHOTGUNS ARE COMPATIBLE WITH THE BYRNA 12-GAUGE LESS LETHAL SHOTGUN ROUND?
The 12 gauge rounds work with standard cylinder bore and improved choke shotguns only.
Many shotguns are fitted with adjustable choke systems such as interchangeable choke tubes that allow you to change the choke to suit your needs. Please ensure that you are using the correct size choke tubes.
If your shotgun does not have an adjustable system, it should have the choke size engraved on the barrel.
The 12 gauge rounds should not be used in shotguns with chambers longer than 3 inches. 2.5" through 3" chambers are ok. Chamber length is normally engraved onto the barrel as well.
If you are unsure of the choke size or chamber length of your shotgun, please reach out to the manufacturer of the shotgun for assistance.
The 12 gauge rounds were designed to work in a pump action or single shot shotgun and will not cycle a semi automatic shotgun as they do not contain gunpowder. They can be manually cycled and fired through most semi-auto shotguns.

The Byrna Less-Lethal Shotgun Round registers at 117 decibels… 16 times quieter than a traditional shotgun blast and a similar report to our .68 caliber CO2 launchers. No hearing protection is required when shooting the Byrna 12 gauge rounds.

The Byrna less lethal 12 gauge round contains no gunpowder and is powered only by a primer.

Most “less-lethal” ammunition on the market is sold as a novelty and has little effect on the target. All less-lethal shotgun ammunition currently used by law enforcement has a much more limited range and limited use types.
