Because the 7-round magazine places additional pressure on the projectiles, there is a greater chance that chemical payload rounds could break inside the magazine during carry or use.

Many customers choose to run solid kinetic rounds in the 7-round magazine while reserving 5-round magazines for chemical payload rounds such as Pepper or Max.
